Wat is the difference between performance ratio &Fill Factor

Postby Zulkifleeabd » Mon Aug 17, 2009 10:46 pm

Currently, I doing my FYP year project and my supervisor asked me to look up for Performance ratio. I tried to look up here but i was diverted to Fill factor of a solar panel. Are they the same? I was given the formula:-

Performance ratio (PR) = [AC energy(Kwh/day)/install capacity(kWp)]/[solar radiation (kwh/day)]

The fill factor is the ratio of maximum power (max. power voltage * max. power current) to the product of the short circuit current and the open-circuit voltage. While a high fill factor is ideal, it is impossible for it to be above 1 or 100%.

Thanks, bill,

What is the relationship between no of strings and no of modules per string? For example if there are 6 nos of strings and 13 modules.

Does that means it has 78 modules?

regards.
Zul.
