It's quite ironic that the introduction of the Carbon Tax seems to coincide with the death of the Renewable Energy Industry in this and other states.

How come other countries seem to make it work but we (with lots of sun) appear incapable of making it work.

NSW solar industry (renewable industry) now collapsed as the NSW government also axed their solar scheme earlier before, causing approximately 73 jobs lost per day in the renewable energy sector. This also impacts on businesses that were connected to them (their stakeholders etc). However... Energy from fossil fuel costs will continue to rise over the next decade and even if all renewable energy feed-in tariffs are scrapped this year, electricity bills would still rise. Renewable energy actually could save ratepayers money over the next 15 years.

I heard you can try to give your voice in here, to support the fair price for Renewable Energy in WA:

as they are going to sent out your shout out to the government.

Its ironic that energy from fossil fuel are hiking tremendously each year but the renewable industry in Australia is endangered now. At the end of the day, the consumer is suffering with the rising electricity price without being able to do anything to ease the pain (installing solar panel etc : cuz prices will soar if the companies that sell them go down the drain with the ending of the solar panel scheme), which leaves consumer no options to consider to escape the bills that are increasing annually.
