Looks like a great idea. I reckon it could be modified to charge mobile phones etc. too.

It looks like a good idea for a laptop and yeah if has a straight dc out it can easily be modified.

That would have some sort of maximum power point tracker in it to because its a battery charger. And i think charging your phone at 14.5 watts is a bit too much, thats like 4 amps at 3.6 volts.

Most Laptops require from 50 to 70 watts of power in order to operate, i hope it is able to provide that, though it is too small to run the laptop, it will slow battery drain and give you longer working time if used. It can still be used to recharge the laptop, though it will take a bit longer than having it plugged into a wall outlet.
