simple solar mppt

Hi all
i m kinda new in this field.
and i am finding for a solar mppt regulator which does not use microcontroller.
maybe a switching regulator is needed for the buck converter.
is there anyone who can help me out with this?

My favorite "non-microcontroller" design for an MPPT is described in this article:

I built it for a lab project. It was pretty challenging, but it worked, and I learned a ton.
