I just have a fairly simple application for a small model solar car. I'm trying to design a simple MPPT circuit using a buck converter, MOSFET, and switcher IC, which will convert a 12V solar panel to a 6V motor. The optimum voltage seems to be at 17V from my experiments, so I was really hoping to track only the voltage. What would you recommend for the overall system design (buck converter, MOSFET type, and recommended switcher IC). Thanks a lot for your help!!

Use a MOSFET with low switching losses. Keep the gate charge low.
Use a ferrite inductor around 150uH and rated for a few amps.
Use low-ESR capacitors.
My experiments have shown best frequency is 35KHz for above setup.

The Easymax circuit is similar to the above, however it uses synchronous rectification to eliminate the diode losses and efficiency reaches 98%.

For analogue switcher IC i recommend the tl5001 from texas instruments.
Or you can use a basic micro controller like a small 8 pin PIC or Atmel chip with PWM and ADC.

I am new to this matter.
I am going to find out a solution to charge a 6 Vdc lead acid battery with a PV that has a power of about 40 Watt only.
Is there any code ( possibly pic basic ) and a schematic diagram for a switcher system with a MPPT function ?
Any reference system to take as a guide for this project ?

I can not read the schematics diagram contained in the An1211. Some reference are missing or schematis not complete.
Can some_one post the correct schematics ?
