should i or shouldn't I

HI guys
i have recently signed up for a package deal for solar power from origin, i am after a little advice from you guys.
I have a rather large roof but it doesn't face north, 1 side is facing north east , what i am thinking is to cancel the package deal & go for a bigger system that would have panels on both sides of the roof as 1 side would get the sunrise to midday sun & the other would get the midday to sunset sun, when i spoke to origin they said they wouldn't put panels on both sides can anybody tell me why ?
or pro's & cons for doing this

obviously it would be a bigger financial outlay but i think that the 1.5 kilowatt systems are a little small so this way would be reap more financial gains in the long run

cheers Allan

PS the other thing thats on my mind is that i have read on hear that the sharp panels are not that good compared to others & origin use sharp panels & sharp inverters

Hey bollo

When installing make sure they are on the most northerly facing roof. If installing panels on 2 different side you will need to use 2 different inverters, or a single dual tracking inverter which will cost more. Just make sure the other roof is a north west, not a south west.

Origin Solar service is pretty crap. Read here: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/138?g=223

thanks Tony, man there are 36 pages there to read through, i have read through a few & i get the idea that origin are good value but hard to deal with after the install has gone in & there seem to be long waiting periods for the new meter to be installed to,

with the direction of my roof the back of my house faces north & the front south so really the sides are one facing east & one west, but i thought that would be ok as the east side gets the morning sun & the west side gets the afternoon sun could i put panels on both sides ?

do origin use these duel tracking inverters if requested ?
