Yes. Im going to put you into the group, but i need to fix the permissions up.
Currently anyone in that group has moderator privileges.

Im thinking of making an AIMSC committee group and a general solar car group. What do you think?

We are getting off topic now, might split this up into general talk.

I need to form a proper system for this. What do you recommend??
I want to have another moderator, Marc, and a few groups.

Those groups sound like a good idea. If you get them set up can you add me to the general solar car group?

There aren't enough members to have a lot of different groups within the solar car rooms.

For now I think you should have:

1) AIMSC Commitee Group
2) AIMSC Competitors Group

As the the members grow maybe you could have groups for different states.

I used to be very familiar with PHPBB, but I haven't done anything with it in a while, so I may be a bit rusty.

Every group needs to have a leader. Votes??

I say Marc as the committee leader,
Unussapiens as the competitor leader,

Currently the only Moderator on this forum is Marc.
I want to have another aimscc moderator from the East, im thing Redlands.

Thoughts? Any input would be appreciated.

I know there aren't many members, butthere are plenty of lurkers.
Im getting over 5000 unique visits a month. Maybe some of the lurkers would sign up if there is a system in place :).

There isnt much to do here, but i may as well share the power ;) . This forum is for our community.

I'm from the West

I think Marc in-charge of the AIMSC committee is a great idea.

And I'm happy for Unussapiens to run the competitior group too, so long as that is ok with him!

I've got no problems with being the leader of the competitors, as long as no one else minds.

Im going to leave things as they are for the next couple of days, before we go jumping into things, just to get a few more thoughts/opinions.

That is a good idea, but some definite structure is required I think. At the moment it is unclear whether or not Marc is the leader of the AIMSC committe, a moderator or both.

I think you should have groups, each with a leader however this role should not be confused with being a moderator. They should be seperate things.

For example:

Marc's profile could read like this:

Miseli
- Forum Moderator
- Leader of AIMSC Committee Group

See what I mean?
