older bp panel question

Postby kit » Thu Sep 30, 2010 3:53 pm

Hi, a guy I work with was given a bunch of older bp panels a few years back, they are frameless, they are all putting out around 12 to 14 volts but the leads are like metal ribbon material, and insted of just having a positive and neg. they have a pos. and a neg on the top and top and bottom of the back side of the panel. I never seen any like it but Ive only been working in the solar field for 5 or so years. What I was wondering is how do you normally wire these together, The leads are only like 3" long?? Thanks

Post up some photos and maybe we can have a better idea of what we are dealing with.
