MPPT in DC-DC converter: Helps needed.

Hi all.
For your information, I would like to build a MPPT in a DC-DC converter (boost converter).
The specification is
1. constant output voltage, 24V DC
2. power rating, 100W and 500W (2 different boost converters)
3. input voltage from solar panel, ranging around 10V-18V DC.
The problem is this. To give a constant output voltage, the only thing we control is the duty cycle of the boost converter. On the other hand, to control MPPT is also playing with the duty cycle. But a lot of MPPT tracker that I study before seems not producing a constant output voltage for the boost converter. Am I correct?
Or in other word, it is possible to build a MPPT in boost converter which produce a constant 24V DC output voltage??
If it can, how do it work?? Furthermore, it is a battery less converter.
Thanks for helps given.

p/s: i am sorry if my language is not good enough.

Edmond,

What are you trying to power with this DC-DC converter? What is the application? When I think about MPPT, I think about the battery or the voltage source being used to impress a voltage on the panel, to ensure maximum power output.

By batteryless converter, do you mean that the converter is powered by the panel? Or do you mean that the converter won't be connected to a battery?

Hi alex,
Actually the application is that the DC DC converter will then connect to an inverter. Then it is able to be connect to a grid.
The whole thing is that is a grid tie system. So for the 1st part, i will like to constant the solar panel voltage, then continue by inverting the voltage to be AC which will then be connected to grid. I would like to send power on the day time. So, I am not consider to use any storage elements (batteryless).
Or it is actually the inverter is doing the mppt rather than the DC DC converter?

Are you after a boost MPPT with output voltage limiting at 24VDC?? If you are, its not too difficult.
