Low Power linear regulator

Hi TonyB,

I noticed that your MPPT uses just 2ma on standby. What Regulator are you using that works from 10-40VDc and yet only consumes such a small current.

thanks.

National Semiconductor. LM2936-5.
This will take 60Volts.

Any regulator that has an adjustable output. Like if I want to get an output of 10VDC.

You can make any regulator, even fixed output regulator have an adjustable output. Just raise the ground potential.

You can also use a series regulator. If designed well, these will draw very low currents.
