I'm looking to put in some investments - not massive ones (so if you own a solar company, don't ask me to fund you!) - and am looking to buy stock. My own area of understanding is more in optical sensor and display technology, so solar is a slightly new area to me, although some of the thin film optics I have done is applicable here, and I don't really know what companies are out there which are listed. Obviously firms like nanosolar are out, since they are private, and I'm not so interested in really big companies with massive portfolios of R&D work like Siemens and the big electronics manufacturers. can anyone help me out here? (oh and you admit no liability for advice should any companies I invest in crash and burn, taking my money with them :p)
thanks!
