I have a question concerning the energy requirement for thermal energy storage of a concentrating solar power system. It is about the method of a two takn molten salt system.
My question is how much energy (for example MJ/kg) is necessary in the production of the molten salt components: potassium nitrate, sodium nitrate and calcium nitrate, or in the molten salt itself if numbers are available (Hitec, Hitec XL, etc.)
It would be especially helpful if someone could give me the link to a paper that states these numbers (as reference)
