If you have anything thats solar powered, tell us about it. Eg, Solar RC Cars, Solar Bikes etc.

EASYMAX on RC SOLAR CAR

Connecting the EASYMAX solar power maximiser to an RC ESC for solar RC use????

For everyone using the easymax for radio controlled solar car purposes, please follow the following configuration.

how do you wire the a LiPO with a charge controller?
I plan on using this chager PCB.

Then if I am using a diode what bout voltage loss? Would a bigger diode be better or what is the best diode?

Diode between MPPT and CMB/ESC?
Diode between LiPO and ESC?

CMB = charge management board.

Diode as close to the easymax as possible. So put the diode between the easymax and the CMB.
This is to prevent voltage spikes on the output from feeding in and damaging the MOSFETs.
With RC cars they usually have the diode on the motor.

Try using a low loss schottky diode to minimise losses like the ones used on rc cars.
