i can't do software or program pics. so it would have to be something that was either just through hole components or Arduino based. i can probably follow instructions and flash a chip with a pre-written program. i did manage to build the mpguino

On my solar project wish list are:
Some kind of solar controller (preferably MPPT), a solar tracker (preferaply not sensor based) and a grid-tie inverter.
once these items are freely available i can really see my self investing in larger quantities of solar panels. as it stands i just have a small amount (40w). it's only worth buying panels if you know you can get the most out of them.
maybe there are more people out there with a similar skill level as me who would be up for this?
